Watford manager Javi Gracia has signed a new four-and-a-half year deal with the Vicarage Road club.

The Spaniard, who took over at the Hornets in January following Marco Silva’s dismissal, has committed to Watford until 2023.

Gracia is the first manager to renew his contract with the club since the Pozzo family took charge in 2012.

The 48-year-old was named Premier League manager of the month in August following his side’s 100 per cent start to the campaign. Watford head into Saturday’s fixture at Leicester ninth in the table.
