Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State has emerged as gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
He emerged by affirmation with 3,818 delegates from 21 local government areas of the state.
Prof. Monday Osubor, who led the APC supervising officials, declared Governor Bagudu as the winner of the election.

Recall that Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammed Mera, a Prince of Argungu Emirate, had collected nomination form to challenge Governor Bagudu but was allegedly disqualified by the party.
In his acceptance speech, Governor Bagudu thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him stressed that he is determined to work harder to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
