Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State has lauded the role of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on national cohesion.

The governor affirmed that the scheme is the only government project that has developed viable capacity over the years to face the contemporary challenges of unity amongst Nigeria populace.

Abdulrazaq made this known on Tuesday through the Supervising Commissioner for Ministry of Youth Development, Usman Yunusa Lade at the 2023 batch C stream 1 swearing -in ceremony at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Yikpata in Edu Local Government Area of the state.

He called on the members of the National Youth Service Corps to be focused and not relent in their efforts to use the scheme to further achieve more practicable and sustainable national cohesion.

Gov Abdulrazaq also stressed his administration commitment to Corps Members welfare and security in the state.

Earlier, the State Coordinator NYSC Kwara, Mr Onifade Olaoluwa, appreciated the governor for the recent acquisition of 500 Mattresses and ongoing Perimeter Fencing of the Orientation Camp.

It is worthy of note that the National Youth Service Corps commenced the 2023 batch C stream 1 orientation course on the Wednesday, 1st November and expected to close on Tuesday, November 21.
