It was a night of glitz and glamour when diplomats, business leaders and the crème de la crème gathered at the residence of the United States Consul General, Ikoyi, Lagos, for the 2019 celebration of the U.S independence, held recently.
The dress code was strictly formal, either African attire or Western. Notwithstanding the seeming stricture of this, some of the guests showed panache in the way they packaged themselves.
The U.S Ambassador to Nigeria, W. Stuart Symington and the Consul-General, T. John Bray, proved to be excellent hosts.
