• Central senatorial district takes lead in rural development
Infrastructure development should be one of the crucial aspects of developmental plans of any administration in the society. Apart from being social amenity, infrastructure also creates employment opportunities and boosts economic activities.
The recent initiatives are part of N2billion infrastructure intervention plans unveiled by Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi, representing Osun Central. The initiatives are located in some targeted areas to uplift rural communities.
Fadeyi also instituted bursary award in tertiary institutions, to give financial support to students. He said: “Education is said to be the bedrock of national development and human capacities building, hence the need for facilitating the bursary award in the constituency.
“It is interesting also to note that to build a solid legacy, is to create a quality of life that is of people oriented in programmes and projects like in education and infrastructure development.”
His Special Adviser on Liaison Matters, Mr. Lekan Olawoyin, told Daily Sun: “Despite being a first timer, Senator Fadeyi is touching practically every community in his Osun Central constituency. There are roads construction and rehabilitation going on across the senatorial district. The district is like a massive construction site.
“Some of the on going projects are in Oke-Baale, Jagun and Oderinlo communities in Osogbo Local Government; Oke-Osun-Fountain University community, Kelebe in Olorunda Local Government and Janta in Ifon, Orolu and Obagun in Ifelodun Local Government.
“There are also road works in Idiogun- Egbeda, Iragbiji in Boripe Local Government; Ajaba-Iresi-Ila link in Boluwaduro Local Government; Sagiyan-Ayede Road, Oke-Ila, Ila-Agbamu road linking Omido, Arandun, Iludun-Oro and Agbonda in Irepodun Local Goverimnet, Kwara State.
“Obalotin-Agbamu Road, which links Ajaba, Ila, Edigbon-Edemusin Road, in Ila Local Government. There is also Oyan-Otan Road, in Odo-Otin Local Government and that of Alamon community in Irepodun Local Government.
“All these projects are on going and within the stipulated time will be completed for the benefit of road users. The senator is rendering quality representation in the Red Chamber for the progress and development of people Osun Central and the state in general. He is determined not to relent in doing good work.”
