The Federal High Court in Kano presided by Justice A M Liman has granted an order restraining the purported APC executive of Ganduje Ward from implementing their decision to suspend the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje from the party.

Justice Liman issued the order on Friday after hearing an ex parte application by the applicant’s counsel, Hadiza Nasir Ahmed.

The respondents in the case were Basiru Nuhu Isah and 25 others. The Nigeria Police Force, Inspector General of Police, the Commissioner of Police, Kano Command and the Department of State Security Service. Were also joined as co-respondents.

The judge directed all parties in the suit to maintain status quo as it was before the purported emergency meeting of the ward executive members and to stay all actions in respect of the matter, pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.

The court adjourned the matter to the 9th May, 2024 for hearing.
