The Itori Unit Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has attributed most of the road accidents in the state to non-compliance of basic traffic rules and regulations by motorists.

Mr Aliyu Yahaya, the Itori Unit Commander of FRSC, entitled: “Safe Driving, Safe Arrival,’’ disclosed this at the Ember Months Flag-Off Campaign of the command on Tuesday at Ilaro garage, Ogun.

He said the negative attitude of some motorists contributed to numerous crashes which resulted to the unnecessary loss of lives and valuable property in the state.

Yahaya said many families had been devastated for losing their breadwinners to crashes, “the belief of many Nigerians that the ember months are evil and are characterised by various mishaps, was not true’’.
