French Minister in charge of Foreign Trade and Attractiveness, Franck Riester, will visit Nigeria from April 12 to 14.

The Embassy of France in Nigeria, in a statement by its Press Officer, Onyinye Madu, said the visit is a follow up to the July 2018’s visit of French President, Emmanuel Macron, and his desire to build a new partnership between Africa and France.

Madu said as the largest economy in Africa and the economic engine of West Africa, Nigeria is indeed a major partner for France, the first in sub-Saharan Africa with bilateral trade amounting to $4.5 billion in 2019 and $2.3 billion in 2020 due to COVID-19  pandemic.
