The source stated that the driver of the tricycle and the three passengers he was carrying died on the spot, but the passengers in the vehicle were not affected.

*Daily Sun* gathered that the heavy rainfall, which affected visibility, coupled with the darkness, contributed to the accident.

“The vehicle and the tricycle were driving when it was already dark. The rain also did not help matters. That section of the road is a bend, so a driver needs to navigate it with experience,” a source in the area said. “It was a head-on collision with a very strong impact. The driver and the passengers in the tricycle were affected. They died before help could come. Unfortunately, because it was dark and raining, residents of the Famgbe community, who could have helped to take the victims to the hospital, were unable to. It is sad.”

Other sources said the police later came to the scene and moved the bodies to the Federal Medical Centre mortuary.
