Piqued by the high poverty rate, bad governance and untapped potential of Nigerians, the National Youth Stakeholders Forum, has initiated plans to unite young people to set the country on the right trajectory.

This was the outcome of a meeting organised by the Forum recently in Abuja.

According to a statement from the Office of the Media and Publicity of the organisation, notable youths drawn from political parties, representatives of ethnic nationalism, and young parliamentarians caucus of the national assembly, attended.

Also, some of the groups in attendance were National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Odua People’s Congress (OPC), Ijaw Youth Council, National Youth Parliaments, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing Worldwide, Congress of Arewa Youth for Peace and Equity, United Hope For Then North, National Association of Nigerian Students, South-South Youth For Good Governance and Grass Root Mobilization, Northern Youth Ambassador ( NYA ), Nigeria Youth Organization NYO, Isoko National Youth Assembly worldwide, Visionary Youth Initiative International and Independent Pan African Youth Parliament.

Others included the Urhobo Progressive Union ( Youth Wing Worldwide), South-South Youth Movement For Good Governance and Grass Root Mobilization, Forum Of Nigerian Traders in Politics, Enyimba Progressive Movement and Youth For Change Initiative.

Also, participants unanimously endorsed Amb. Muhammad Auwal Musa as Chairman and Chinazam Ike as Vice Chairman, to lead the National Youth Stakeholders Forum.

“The National Youth Stakeholders Forum remains committed to empowering the youth and ensuring their voices are heard.

“We extend an invitation to all other youth stakeholders and organizations across the country to join us in our mission for a common goal.

“The National Youth Stakeholders Forum is a collective body representing the interests of Nigerian youth, comprising various youth organizations.

“The forum promotes unity, inclusivity, and collaboration among young individuals, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to nation-building efforts,” the statement read.
