Five persons lost their lives, while two others sustained serious injuries in a ghastly motor accident which occurred, on Tuesday morning, at Ita Oba area, Orile Imo, along Abeokuta-Siun-Sagamu expressway.
According to the Ogun State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Clement Oladele, the accident which occurred around 7.20a.m was suspected have caused by excessive speeding and tyre burst.
Oladele, explained that the crash involved nine adult males adult, who were traveling in two different vehicles, a black Honda Accord with registration number EKY 365 FB and a green coloured Honda Space Wagon with registration number KTU 246.

The Honda Accord car, the FRSC Sector Commander, stated that it lost one of its tyres on motion and veered off to opposite direction and collided head on with the Space Wagon, killing five persons on the spot and injuring two, while two others escaped unhurt.
The injured victims, according to him, were taken to the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH) Sagamu, for treatment, while corpses of dead victims were deposited at the mortuary of the same hospital.
While commiserating with the relatives of the crash victims and advising members of the public whose relatives might have travelled along the axis to visit OOUTH for identification of their relatives, urged motorists to properly maintain their vehicles and drive within approved speed limits .
