A special panel set up by the Presidency, the Special Presidential Investigation Panel (SPIP) has summoned the big wigs of Nigeria Football Federation for questioning in Abuja.
The Panel, in a letter signed its director of operations, Tahir Usman on 24th of this month, invited the NFF first vice president, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, the League Management Company chairman, Barrister Chris Green, Mallam Shehu Dikko, Alhjai Ahmed Yusuf (aka Fresh), Otunba Sunday Dele Ajayi, Alizor Chuks and Mohammed Cheku.
The Panel, constituted for the recovery of public property in line with recovery of public property (Special Provisions) Act. 2004, is investigating case of conspiracy and also to obtain clarifications from the invited board members.
The Panel backed the invitation with the provisions of Section 4(3) of the Recovery of Public Property (Special Provisions) Act, CAP R4 Laws of the Federation.
The invited men are expected to report at the panel’s office on Tuesday at Plot 2602, Idris Kutigi Street, Off Idris Kpaki Street, adjacent AIT, Guzupe, Asokoro extension, Abuja.
Efforts to reach the NFF first vice president on phone proved abortive as at production time.
