Nigeria U-20 Women’s national team (Falconets) forward, Joy Jerry has completed her medicals ahead of her move to Chinese Club-side Changchun.

The former Edo and Bayelsa Queens player joined the club on a one-year deal with an option for a two-year extension.

Jerry becomes the fifth Falconets player after Tosin Demehin, Rofiat Imuran, Deborah Abiodun, and Mercy Idoko to get a new club in Asia.

She was transferred from the league champion Bayelsa Queens in November, shone for the Benin-based team, the Edo Queens, scoring once to help them finish first in the first round.

Jerry was instrumental in helping Nigeria’s U-20 women’s team at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

The Falconets became the first African side to win all group-stage matches to reach the quarterfinals before losing to the Netherlands.
