Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, Vice Chancellor, University of Offa, Kwara State, Prof Abdulrahim Bayo Lawal, former Chief of Army Staff, Lt.Gen. Alani Akinrinade (retd) and other dignitaries are expected to attend the 80th founders day anniversary of their alma mata, Offa Grammar School, Kwara State.

A statement by the national secretary of Offa  Grammar School Old Students Association (OGSOSA), Lateef Soyemi, said the event started with a fitness walk in and around Offa town yesterday and would run till October 22. Other activities include anniversary lecture titled, “Rethinking the Nigerian education system for sustainable development,” quiz competition for students of the school, Jumaat and thanksgiving service.

The chief launcher at the event is Fagbemi while Professor Lawal will be the guest speaker.

Other dignitaries expected to grace the occasion include the Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Sulu- Gambari, Gen. David Jemibewon (retd), and the Olofa of Ofa, Oba Mufutau Oloyede Gbadamosi  among others.

The highlight of the epoch-making event will be the launching and foundation laying of the N100m ultra-modern OGSOSA national secretariat to be named after one of the outstanding old students and former chief of Army staff, Lt-Gen Akinrinade.
