Family, friends, associates and well wishers will converge on the Umudike Umuohi, Ihembosi community, in Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Anambra State, today, to bid final goodbye to Peter Chukwuji Obinagha, whose remains would be committed to mother earth today.
Obinagha, a devout Christian and respected community leader, died early this year at the age of 87.
According to burial arrangement released by his son, Jonathan Obinagha, a Christian wake was held in his honour yesterday, at the Obinagha’s compound, while his body leaves the Joint Hospital Mortuary, Ozubulu, at 7am this morning to his compound for lying-in-state as from 8am.
His body shall proceed to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Ihembosi, where a burial Mass will be held from 10am for the repose of his soul, after which his remains will be laid to rest at his compound, while entertainment of guests follows immediately after the interment.
