With voting ended, Professor Kolapo Olusola Eleka, Governor Ayodele Fayose’s Deputy, has emerged winner of the Ekiti State PDP primary, becoming the official candidate on the party ticket to contest for governor in the 2019 General Elections.
The Deputy Governor polled 1,190 out of 1,961 votes, with rival Prince Dayo Adeyeye bagging 771 votes.
The PDP Twitter account announced the end of vote counting earlier in the evening before Eleka emerged winner of the primary.
