The Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers, has congratulated the Governor of the state, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, on his award as the Governor of the Year 2023, in Community Development, by the Independent Newspapers.

This was contained in a statement signed by Council’s Chairman and the Olojudo of Ido-Ekiti, HRM Ọba Ayorinde Ilori-Faboro, on Sunday and made available to newsmen.

The statement entitled, ‘EKITI COUNCIL OF TRADITIONAL RULERS CONGRATULATES OYEBANJI’, reads :

” The Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers heartily congratulates His Excellency, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, on his award as the Governor of the Year, in Community Development ,by the Independent Newspapers on May 4, 2024.

“The Council is very proud this acknowledgment which has come from a reputable media establishment is consistent with the perception of most Ekiti people across the globe, and particularly by all Ekiti royal fathers.

“As a Council, we can attest to the magnitude of your achievements since assuming office and we can bear, unequivocally, that the award is well deserving.

“We are particularly pleased to note that the award points to your great works in the development of our communities in various ways including provision of power supply to rural communities that had last seen electricity for decades past. We also acknowledge your numerous achievements in rural and urban roads among others.

“We are pleased with your community participation approach to governance and its overall impact on government policies and projects execution.

“We therefore want to use this opportunity to encourage you to keep it up and to go higher in all ramifications. Be assured of our royal blessings and support at all times.

“Congratulations, Mr Governor, ” the statement added.
