The political development in Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) resonated in Edo State, on Tuesday, with a chieftain of the party in the state, Mr. Charles Idahosa, expressing hope that Governor Godwin Obaseki would not experience the predicament being faced by Governor Akinwumi Ambode.

Speaking to journalists, in Benin-City, ahead of his 65th birthday which comes up Friday this week, Idahosa said the picture of events in Edo State was in his mind when he was reading how Governor Ambode ran into problems with the APC leadership in Lagos State.

Idahosa, a former Political Adviser to former  Governor Adams Oshiomhole, assured that Edo APC would not allow its current problems to degenerate to the level of Lagos State.

Expressing surprise on the Governor Ambode issue, Idahosa said he never knew APC leaders were aggrieved and cautioned Lagos APC to handle the matter with care to avoid the party loosing the state to opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
