A community leader in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area of Lagos State, Matthew Idowu, has urged Nigerians to be optimistic that the current economic hardship will soon be over.

The community leader, who spoke with newsmen on the outcome of presidential election petition teribunal, said there was season for everything and what is constant in life is change.

He, therefore, advised Nigerians to be prayerful and optimistic that the country will be better.

Idowu, Community Development Association (CDA) chairman of Ifelodun Street, Part A and Muri Ojora Street in Amukoko, enjoined Nigerians to be patient with government and have hope that everything would start to fall in place soon for the general good of all.

“I wish to appeal to Nigerians to be prayerful and patient at the same time. It is just like a long time wound that has been sustained for many years, you can’t expect a good medicine to cure it within few days.

“The government is less than six months in office and you can’t expect a miraculous cure of all the problems of the country within that short period.

“Although, we are seeing that people are suffering indeed, but I will want to appeal to all Nigerians across tribes, to be supportive to this present administration in addition to their prayers,” he said.
