Nigeria international left-back Elderson Echiejile has joined Belgian First Division B (second-tier) club Cercle Brugge until the end of the season in pursuit of regular football action  after he cancelled his contract with Turkish Sivasspor .

Cercle Brugge who lead the pack in the second division are owned by French side giants AS Monaco.

The Afcon winning defender joined Sivasspor on a season-long loan deal from AS Monaco last summer but found life extremely difficult in his new sojourn as he hardly featured for the team, making 10 appearances in all competitions (seven Turkish league games and three Turkish Cup games) in the first half of the season.
