Ebenco Group, a leading indigenous oil and gas company, and the National Council on Climate Change (NCCC) have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on eco-friendly management of environmental and oil waste, capacity building, and joint projects to promote sustainable development, environmental protection, and climate resilience in Nigeria.

The agreement was signed on May 7, 2024 at the headquarters of the National Council on Climate Change (NCCC) in Abuja.

The MOU, signed by Ebenco Group’s CEO, Mr. Ebenezer Oluwagbemiga, and the NCCC’s DG, Dr. Salisu, M. Dahiru, marks a significant milestone in the quest to address the pressing issues of climate change, environmental degradation, and sustainable development in Nigeria.

Under the terms of this agreement, Ebenco Group and the NCCC will collaborate on eco-friendly management of environmental and oil waste, including oil sludge, enhance capacity building and knowledge sharing initiatives related to environmental sustainability and climate change resilience and explore and implement joint projects and initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable development, environmental protection, and climate resilience.
