Nigerians have been urged to imbibe the spirit of Humanity , Tolerance and empathy in order to achieve a better Nation desirable by all.
According to an Easter Message delivered by Senator Stella Oduah to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, building a great nation requires sacrifice and endurance, adding that citizens need to put themselves in each other’s shoes before taking any action.
The Federal Government had declared Friday, March 29, and Monday, April 1, 2024, as public holidays for the celebration of Good Friday and Easter Monday, respectively.
Stella who represented Anambra North in the 9th Senate enjoined Christians and other Nigerians to support the government in driving economic growth.
In her goodwill message issued from her Media office in Abuja, the season of Easter reminds us that Jesus Christ sacrificed his life for humanity urging Nigerians to use the occasion to preach religious tolerance, love for our neighbours and commitment to civic responsibilities.
The message read partly;
“Sacrifice, endurance and hope are greatly needed to build a nation that we all desire, despite our tribal and religious differences we must cohabit together in unity and harmony as humans”.
“As we all know Christ died to set us free from the shackles of sin , on that note , I congratulate the entire Christian faithful on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.
“As we conclude 40 days of fasting and abstinence let us emulate the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. I congratulate my dear constituents and Nigerians at large. I urge usball to continue to support the government in its efforts to provide security and an enabling environment for economic growth and prosperity.
