The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Rt Rev Samuel Ezeofor, has urged the people to use the Easter period to emulate the lifestyle of Jesus Christ, and not to be carried away by the euphoria of the Easter period.

Bishop Ezeofor gave the charge in his 2023 Easter Message at the Chapel of Grace Bishops Court Ekwulobia in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, where he also reminded the Christians that Christ is the main reason for the season.

According to him, the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the hope of the believer and the bedrock of Christianity, even as he cautioned the faithfuls against making Easter lose its concept and meaning, as his death and resurrection brought redemption to mankind.

While urging Nigerians to embrace and accept Christ as their Lord and personal Saviour; he also called on the leaders of the nation to emulate the humility of Christ, who humbled himself all through his journey on earth, despite his kingship position.
