Chelsea are pushing Eden Hazard’s minders to open new contract talks – immediately.

The Telegraph says Chelsea want to pounce on the managerial uncertainty at Real Madrid by reopening contract talks with Hazard.

Hazard is understood to be waiting for a sign whether Real will make a move for him before making a decision over the new contract tabled at Chelsea.

But with Real in disarray following the sacking of Julen Lopetegui, Chelsea hope the uncertainty will provide a window for them to renegotiate with the 27-year-old Belgium international.

Hazard has spoken openly by staying with Chelsea beyond the end of this season.

Chelsea star Eden Hazard is waiting for a signal from Real Madrid before he decides on his future at Stamford Bridge. The Belgian wanted to join Real Madrid after last summer’s World Cup and has admitted in interviews since that a transfer to the Bernabeu is his dream.

However, Hazard is eternally grateful to Chelsea for everything they’ve done for him since his move from Lille six years ago and he’s loving playing under the attack-minded Maurizio Sarri.

Hazard has less than two years to run on his current deal at the club and Chelsea need a decision before the end of the season as they may prefer to cash in on their prized asset rather than allowing him to leave on a free in 2020.

Chelsea are prepared to make Hazard the highest paid player in the club’s history but the 27-year-old is waiting for news from Real Madrid before deciding on a new deal, according to the Telegraph. The La Liga giants are in the process of replacing sacked boss Julen Lopetegui and have not yet started their planning for next summer.
