FAST rising singer, Toby Grey (Tobiloba Mariam Adeyemi) is no doubt one of the emerging faces on the Nigerian music scene. With a couple of singles and a remix of Kiss Daniel’s Woju entitled Gboju in the kitty, Toby Grey is definitely headed for the top of her game. In this chat with Entertainer, the graduate of French Language from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and indigene of Osun State opens up on her most embarrassing day as an entertainer.
“I was performing when this guy undressed and started dancing to my song on stage. It was a pool party. It was kind of crazy and initially I was scared but I soon realized that he was my fan and just wanted to have fun. He actually stripped down to his pants. We actually performed the song together.”
She is currently in the studio recording, what is new? “I am recording a new jam and I have this strong feeling that it is going to be a hit! I am getting very positive vibes about this song. I definitely have a couple of songs that I am working on right now but this one is exceptional. And please don’t ask me for details, I am not letting the cat out of the bag yet.”
To date, Toby Grey has performed on platforms like the Nigeria Entertainment Awards (NEA), New York, Miss Tourism Nigeria, CityPeople Entertainment Awards and Kennis Music Easter Fiesta among others. Toby Grey started singing in her church choir in 2011.
