Popular gospel comedian, Edo Charles, is set to give marriage another chance. And as part of his plans to remarry, he has decided to impact his experience on other single individuals through a programme tagged: ‘The Art of Friendship’ on Saturday, June 23.

According to the entertainer, The Art of Friendship is a non-denominational youth event, powered by Redeemed Christian Church Of God, The King’s Court Parish, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Hosted by Pastor Ben Akabueze and facilitated by Funmito Agusto, the programme will feature talk shows, relationship seminar, networking, fellowship and lots more.

However, Edo Charles says The Art of Friendship was inspired by the deep passion Pastor Akabueze has for the youth, most especially, singles. “He desires to see singles get married and settle down. But as we all know, marriages crash faster than phone these days, because many people don’t know that there are signs you will see and ignore. I have heard many say they are or were friends before they got married and yet have problems just few days after they walk down the aisle. Networking is what this programme is all about. It is an event where we can talk, share experiences, ask questions, entertain ourselves, laugh and get connected,” the comedian said.

He stated further: “Many Christian singles don’t really go out to clubs and social gatherings any more. So, we don’t get to meet with the likes of people we would want to marry. In fact, there are lots we need to know. In my own part, I have made a mistake in marriage before and I need to know more and ask more questions so that I don’t fall into another mistake. Our God is a God of second chance, so I’m hopeful.”

At the event, guests will be thrilled by lovely songs from Pillars, Lively Stones, Sound of Many Waters, while comedians like Koffi, Igos, Bash, MC Nomaris, Open Teeth, Head of State, Dr Warri and others would join Edo Charles to crack ribs. Awesome Crew and D Laff Drama Team are also on hand to stage a play.
