Founders of Cromwell and Lilian Ibie Foundation have disclosed the foundation, which was inspired by ‘Agape For All’ is aimed at catering for the needs of the less privileged in the society.

Addressing newsmen during the launch of the foundation in Benin at the weekend, one of the children, Ose Ibie, said the foundation was set up by the children in honour of their late parents, Cromwell Osamaro Ibie and Lilian Ekpoanwan Ibie, whose lives impacted positively on those who crossed their paths.

He said their mother will be remembered for so many things by so many people, adding that the entire Ibie family will remember mama Edo as a dedicated wife who loved her husband above all else.

Ose said she was a devoted mother to her children and a loving stepmother to her stepchildren, disclosing her motto in life was that, “Love Conquers All.”

He said the foundation will help render scholarships to indigent students in Iguomo community in Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of Edo State and beyond.

Besides, Ose said the foundation will also help to discover raw talents and groom them to stardom while also training others who are interested in one skills acquisition.

He said the children are poised to ensure through the foundation, lives are transformed.

On her part, Eghe Ibie, said the foundation will also look at empowering the women because they play a vital role in the family and in the society at large.

Lilian Ekpoanwan Ibie, nee Bassey (affectionately known by the Ibie family as ‘Mama Edo’ and the Bassey family as ‘Auntie Ikeja”), 70, passed on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in Lekki, Lagos.
