Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) bigwigs have given a pat on the back to the new sponsor of the annual CAF award, Aiteo declaring that the Nigerian firm has taken the show to a higher level with the way things went in Accra last week.

NFF president, Amaju Pinnick said Aiteo’s sponsorship of the event had taken the award to a new level. “We are proud of Aiteo and we are happy with the support we are getting from them on the home front. The story of how we qualified with ease for the Russia 2018 World Cup can not be complete without mention being made of Aiteo. Their sponsorship of the CAF award made the show more glamorous,” Amaju said.

His first Vice President, Shehu Dikko who was also in Accra said African football would get better with Aiteo’s sponsorship.

“The sponsors made sure we had a good show in Accra. It was a wonderful night that attracted soccer legends and great artists from across the continent.”

Demola Olajire, the soccer federation’s media chief pointed out that Aiteo added Nigerian flavor to the event. “The show may not have been held in Nigeria but it had a Nigerian touch. The presence of our former president Olusegun Obasanjo, Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu and Lagos state governor, Akinwumi Ambode was a good one. Having such high profile guests from Nigeria in the house was wonderful,” Olajire stated.
