Akpabio, gov, minister, APC, others celebrate president

Former President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday called President Bola Tinubu on his 72nd birthday, after issuing a statement to wish him a happy birthday.

It was gathered that during the intimate conversation between the two leaders, Buhari reiterated his unwavering dedication to seeing Tinubu’s administration prosper.

Expressing his belief in the importance of supporting leaders, Buhari went beyond mere pleasantries to offer heartfelt prayers for Tinubu’s success. He emphasised that a leader’s achievements are intertwined with the nation’s progress, highlighting the significance of unity and collective success in driving the country forward.

He said he was fully committed to the success of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) administration under President Tinubu.

President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, Katsina State governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, former Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai, and All Progressives Congress (APC) have paid glowing tributes to President Bola Tinubu on his 72nd birthday.

Akpabio, in a congratulatory message by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, on Friday in Abuja, described Tinubu as a transformational leader, developmental democrat, and bridge builder.

His word: “This is exemplified in his developmental strides as governor of Lagos State and since coming on stream as the Commander-in-Chief and President of Nigeria. As a developmental democrat, he has over the decades, demonstrated uncommon commitment in nurturing and instituting a firm foundation for democracy in Nigeria.

“As a bridge builder, he has remained the greatest mobiliser of men and women in contemporary Nigeria and the politician with the most robust political machinery. Mr. President, as you mark 72 years today, I, on behalf of my family, the good people of my senatorial district, Akwa Ibom, and of course, the National Assembly, wish you good health and many more prosperous years ahead.”

In the same vein, Katsina State governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, described Tinubu as a visionary and purposeful leader, who is committed to salvaging the fortunes of Nigeria and its citizens.

In a statement on Friday congratulating the President’s on the occasion of his 72nd birthday, Radda said Tinubu’s “trajectory all along has been signposted with remarkable personal achievements in both his private and public life.”

The statement, signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed, Radda, noted further that, “the practical steps taken by President Tinubu since he assumed office in May last year have reset Nigeria on the path of socio-economic greatness and accelerated national development. Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, in a goodwill message issued by his spokesman, Bolaji Tunji, described Tinubu as a statesman and political icon the country needs at this period in its history.

He recalled the contributions of the President in the democratic journey of the nation, saying: “Having been a major actor in the enthronement of the democracy that the country is enjoying today, the confidence reposed in him with the presidential mandate is well placed. Ever before becoming the president, he had always been known as a detribalised Nigerian and promoter of national unity, cultural preservation and bridge-builder. The mantle of leadership on him is not misplaced.”

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described Tinubu as a true patriot, statesman and a visionary leader, who has made great contributions to the enthronement of democracy, and nation building.

Mr. Felix Morka, the party’s National Publicity, said this in a statement on Friday in Abuja, saying: “On this day, we celebrate a true patriot, statesman, veteran democrat and visionary leader. We proudly salute a pre-eminent party man, an exemplary progressive, a tireless builder and founding architect of our great party. The APC family stands united with President Tinubu as he continues his illustrious service to our dear country.” Also, the TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation congratulated Tinubu on his 72nd birthday. The foundation’s grand patron, and former Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Yusuf Buratai (Rtd) also expressed his best wishes to Tinubu on his special day.

This was contained in a statement signed by the chairman of the foundation, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani.

According to the statement, Buratai urged Nigerians to pray for good health and longevity for Mr. President. He emphasised the importance of his leadership for the progress and prosperity of the nation. Also a former Member of the National Governing Board of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Prince Kunle Oyewumi felicitated with the President.

Extolling the outstanding virtues of the President, the Ogbomoso-Prince called on political leaders to emulate the selfless and patriotic attributes of Tinubu in their pursuits.

Oyewumi who described the President as a very rare gem, applauded Tinubu for his bold, pragmatic and unbiased strategies in piloting the affairs of the nation, adding that Tinubu has consistently contributed to the development of democracy in Nigeria and Africa. In his congratulatory message, the businessman stressed that the President’s leadership style is worthy of commendation and emulation.
