Bruit Costaud, an affiliate of Ballard Partners United States of America has commended the Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB) over its landmark achievements in deepening Nigerians participation in the oil and gas industry.

The immediate past Minister of Information and Culture and Managing Partner of the firm, Alhaji Lai Mohammed who stated this when he paid a working visit to the Nigerian Content Tower in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State also thumbs up the Executive Secretary of the Board, Engr Simbi Kesiye Wabote for his vision to grow Nigeria’s economy.

Mohammed who was accompanied by the Senior Consultant, Government Affairs, Olajumoke Bamigbola while describing the Nigerian Content Tower as the “Hidden Jewel” lamented that many Nigerians are not aware of the giant strides NCDMB has recorded and its contribution to stimulate the development of the Nigerian economy.

He harped on the need for strategic communication noting that his firm’s vision is to bridge the gap between policy and implementation in the public and private sector.

“What we do at our firm, Bruit Costaud, is to actually create the platform to make the public and private sector talk to each other rather than talk at one another. Our experience in the government, media and private sector has shown that there is that yawning gap between policy and implementation largely due to the distrust that is harboured by both parties. We believe that there is also the need to amplify the positive achievements of organisations. Like when I made my presentation, I dwell more on what NCDMB has been able to achieve in ensuring that Nigerians have a solid foothold in the oil industry. We believe that there is a need to support the excellent work being done. Basically what we do at Bruit Costaud is to link the private sector and the public sector and improve the business index But there is another area that we believe is important, that is making the NCDMB the go-to organisation when it comes to indigenising the industry.

Wabote in his remarks said the visit was timely especially at a period that the country is undergoing transition from one administration to the other.

He also stressed the need for communication amplification as a strategy to communicate more with Nigerians on the numerous achievements of the NCDMB.

Wabote who noted that there is no end to communication for an organisation like NCDMB also noted that Nigeria as a country needs to communicate more on the positive developments in the country.

“I agree with Lai Mohammed on amplifying our achievements because we can never communicate enough. Every avenue we find to communicate we must utilise it. Our country also does not communicate enough of the good things in the country.”
