The Enugu State Ministry of Youth & Sports in conjunction with Coal City Football League has described the final match of Boolu Ogbe between Obiagu FC and Coal Camp FC which comes up on Monday 29th of April in Enugu at Cathedral Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium by 5:30 pm, as battle of supremacy.

Boolu Ogbe is the most followed and watched grassroot football event in Enugu State .

According to the Chairman of BOOLU OGBE, Amb Domben Chisom, the  match has been tagged “Enugu El-Classico.

He said over the years, when it comes to neighborhood football in Enugu State, Obiagu and Coal Camp have been battling on who is better in terms of football dominance and strong fan base adding that the match will go a long way to settle the rivalry between them.

“This match is to foster unity amongst the youths, engage the players positively and provide them with opportunities of being seen by top football scouts and coaches.The match will be live-streamed on YouTube whereby fans outside Enugu State shall have the opportunity to view it live,” he said.

Chisom further said the match would be used to raise funds to support some ex football legends who are seriously sick.

“From popular demands, It’s going to be a night match which is always fun and captivating.”

He assured fans of adequate security as enough security personnel would be provided.

He thanked the Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for providing sporting facilities for Ndi Enugu and theCommissioner for Youth and Sports Development; Barr. Lloyd Ekweremmadu for approving the stadium for the match.

“ We urge the good people of Enugu State to come out massively to watch this encounter because it’s going to be a fun filled night with numerous side attractions to entertain the crowd. Very soon Enugu State shall be a haven for football players in Nigeria.
