Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface could feature for Bayer Leverkusen for half an hour in tonight’s DFB Pokal semi-final tie against Fortuna Dusseldorf at the Bay Arena following his three-month injury absence.

Recall, the 23-year-old underwent surgery on an adductor muscle injury in January after sustaining an injury while preparing with Nigeria for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote D’Ivoire.

Die Werkself is heading into the tie as the strong favourites to secure yet another victory, but the DFB-Pokal has provided plenty of major upsets this season, none bigger than the defeat of Bayern Munich by fellow semi-finalists Saarbrucken, leaving no room for complacency in this one.

Xabi Alonso said in his pre-match talk yesterday ahead the Bundesliga top guns DFB Pokal game against Fortuna Dusseldorf.
