I am a big  fan of President Donald Trump of United States. During his campaign for the White House I prayed  for his success. I wanted him to win. I saw his victory over Hilary Clinton as a repudiation and defeat  of Obama’s failed African policy in particular. Obama  took sides with dictators in Africa. In Nigeria for instance he looked the other way, while Boko-Haram killed thousands of beautiful babies and women. He and Mrs. Clinton emboldened the worst terrorist organisation calling them freedom fighters. He sabotaged every effort by the last administration to contain the insurgents. He not only refused to sell weapons to Nigeria , he stopped the world from selling to us.

Unlike Obama, Trump promised to end the war in Syria , bomb the hell out of ISIS , punish North Korea and work closely with Israel and Russia. I believe that Putin is a force of light and has demonstrated better understanding of a peaceful world  than Obama

So far, Trump has lived up to his campaign promise by taking the war to ISIS and Al-Queda in Afghanistan. On 13 April 2017, a MOAB was dropped on an ISIL-Khorasan cave complex in Achin District, Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan. The GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air   Blast (MOAB), commonly known as the Mother of All Bombs, is a large-yield bomb, developed for the United States military by Albert L. Weimorts, Jr. of the Air Force Research Laboratory. At the time of development, it was touted as the most powerful non-nuclear weapon in the American arsenal.  The bomb is designed to be delivered by a C-130 Hercules, primarily the MC-130E Combat Talon I or MC-130H Combat Talon II variants. It was the first operational use of the bomb. An Afghan army spokesman said that the strike killed 94 ISIS-K militants, including four commanders, with no signs of civilian casualties.

In Syria, after at least 86 people including 33 children were killed in a nerve-gas attack in rebel-held Idlib province,  the US military fired 59 Tomahawk missiles from the USS Porter and USS Ross warships in the Mediterranean Sea at the al-Shayran air base near the western city of Homs, which the Pentagon said was used to store chemical weapons by the Assad regime, a claim both Russia and the Assad regime have disputed. On the assumption that the US intelligence was right that indeed the Syrian military deployed chemical weapon that killed civilians,  the US action in hitting Syria demonstrated Trump’s resolve to protect helpless civilians trapped in armed conflict.

Also, within the Korean peninsula, tensions have escalated after America sent an aircraft carrier to waters, off the Korean peninsula, in response to several provocative missile launches by Kim Jong-un’s regime.

Donald Trump in his tweets said North Korea is looking for trouble and indeed North Korea has always been looking for trouble and tasking the patience of the rest of the world. Satellite images appear that Kim Jong-un is preparing to launch a nuclear test at North Korea’s Punggye-ri test site. North 38 reports that the images show “continued activity” at the site, which appears to be “primed and ready” for what would be the hermit state’s sixth nuclear test.

Trump had before now warned the Koreans to stop further missile tests as the era of US strategic patience with the hermit nation is over. It is very likely that the US will attack North Korea in a must -win war. The authorities in Pyongyang are taking the threat serious, as Jim Jong-un has reportedly ordered more than 600,000 residents to evacuate Pyongyang. Although the US Navy strike group has been sent towards the Korean peninsula, Washington has previously leaned towards sanctions and pressure to deter North Korea.

While Trump’s strategic policy against ISIS and North Korea is earning him the  admiration of the civilized world, we in Nigeria are also waiting for a time he will take serious interest in what is happening here. Nigeria is bleeding. Every week Christians in Nigeria are massacred  by Boko Haram and Miyeti Allah also known as Fulani herdsmen and yet no one cares, and that includes their local, state and central government. Places of worship and schools are  bombed with hundreds and thousands of people killed and no one cares. Despite love being preached in every part of the world, people still allow their differences and religious beliefs to cause a rift between them. Christians being meek and humble bear the brunt of religious and ethnic wars in different parts of the world.

Nigeria is among the worst top six nations in the world where Christians are persecuted on account of their faith and mode of worship. Somewhere in Southern Kaduna, children of God  are butchered on daily basis with their throats cut by militant Islamic groups. The people live in fear of their physical safety and security. The survivors have no economy, no food and no protection from government. The people live and wait for their turn to be killed.

The war against terror must be fought in all forms, on all fronts and seriously too. As such President Trump cannot afford to look the other way, while the Christians in Nigeria are murdered. He must help to end their bleeding misery. Boko-Haram and the Fulani Herdsmen are still very potent and dangerous. They are still  killing children, women and elderly, who are not involved in any conflict with them. That they kill with guns, machetes and bayonets does not make their atrocities acceptable. The Nigeria n military and government appear culpable and compromised in all these, as some of the people who should be prosecuted for killings are being rewarded for their ‘nice’ jobs. Recently the Secretary of Miyeti Allah was rewarded with a federal appointment, just like the Kaduna State government is hounding Christian leaders, rather than arresting and prosecuting the aggressors, who are mainly Muslims. You cannot claim to be a good Muslim if you cannot tolerate the religion of other people.

Beyond selling fast attack aircraft to a regime in Nigeria that seems compromised in the war against Islamic militants with reputation of killing both combatants and non combatants with equal ferocity,  it is time for the Mother of all Bombs to be deployed and delivered on the Boko-Haram terror groups, just like is being done against ISIS.  It’s time every Jihadist terror organisation is smoked out of  its holes and bombed into oblivion. The US cannot claim they do not have superior intelligence of the Boko Haram or Miyeti Allah training camps and cells. Nothing short of MOAB will help knock the fear of God into their head. Nigeria and the world beckon on Trump and so do I.
