The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has won big in Saturday’s local government council elections as it has cleared all the eight local government council seats declared by the Bayelsa State Independent Electoral Commission (BYSIEC).

In the first result declared, Mr Bulodisiye Ndiwari of the PDP was declared winner in Yenagoa Local Government Council.

According to the returning officer, Chief Wisdom Soreh stated that Ndiwari polled 56,103 votes to be declared return elected.

In Governor Douye Diri’s home council. Kolokuma/Opokuma, the PDP chairmanship candidate, Lelei Tariye was declared elected by the returning officer, Prof Apuega Arikawei having polled 27,823 votes.

Dr Godrick Tams Deiduomo, returning officer for Ogbia Local Government Area stated that PDP Chairmanship candidate, Golden Jeremiah polled 42,462 votes to emerge winner.

In Ekeremor Local Government Area, the returning officer, Prof Joseph Omoro declared Onniye Isaac winner having polled 35, 177 votes.

Former Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Chief David Alagoa and PDP Chairmanship candidate for Nembe has been declared winner of the elections.

The returning officer, Prof Festus Akpotohwo said Alagoa polled 11, 829 votes to beat other candidates.

In Southern Ijaw Local Government, one time House of Assembly member and PDP chairmanship candidate, Target Segibo was declared winner by Dr Ebi Stanley Udisi having polled 36,326 representing the highest number of votes to emerge the chairman- elect.

In Sagbama Local Government Area, the returning officer for the election, Prof Abiodun Adelegan announced Mrs Alice Allen Tangi as the winner having polled 51, 543 votes.

In Brass Local Government Area, the PDP chairmanship candidate, Febo Lucky is leading other candidates with a very wide margin.
