Nigerian talented gospel singer, Chigozie Wisdom has bagged an honorary citizen award from the state of Georgia in the United States of America.

 

The award was presented to Wizdom by Senator Donzella James on behalf of the government of the state .

The awardee who is the head of the Music Department at Zion, The City of the Lord Ministries under the leadership of late Apostle Alex Bamgbola and also a music director of  the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Lagos State chapter, was honoured with award based on his contribution to the state.

 

In a statement at the award ceremony, Senator James said:

“I consider it an honour for me to present this award in the chamber of Georgia Senate and there are lots of special people in here but there is one in particular who has come all the way from Nigeria and he has been blessing us with his great talent, I asked the Senate if they can approve the special award to someone who is not from the US i.e an honorary citizen of Georgia”.

 

 

Chigozie Wisdom is a seasoned and anointed Nigerian music minister , a worship revivalist whose aim is to ensure that all eyes see Jesus through worship.

He has several international awards to his credit including this latest, the honorary citizen of Georgia, which was bestowed on him at the Capitol.

Wisdom’s story is the true definition of grass to grace story after starting off from a very humble background as the second child from a family of four. The singer and his family lived in one of the Nigerian police barracks with his father being a member of the Nigeria Police Force and his mother a retired staff of the SSS (state security service).
