The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a fake soldier in full military attire, at the Ijegun area of the state.
The fake soldier had been on the wanted list of the military.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Benjamin Hundyin, said the suspect was nabbed during a routine visibility patrol, along Fagbile Estate, Ijegun Isheri Oshun.
He said the suspect, who was bearing the name Sgt. Major Femi Balogun, who was in full military, had been linked to so many crimes which were under investigation.
He said, while in the police custody, the police contacted the military guard commander in charge of the pipeline in Ijeododo, who sent some of his men who came to the station and identified the suspect as fake. The military said he had been on their wanted list.
