The Assistant National Publicity Secretary, South-east of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Smart Iheoma, has taken a swipe at Hon. Chinedum Orji, son of the former governor of Abia State and now a senator, Chief Theophilus Orji, for saying that lack of planning and not galvanizing support from his strongholds made President Goodluck Jonathan to lose the 2015 general election.
Orji made the statement to his constituents and a national newspaper reported it yesterday.  Speaking to newsmen in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, Iheoma said it was highly regrettable for the younger Orji to have said such about a man who gave his father so much support and leverage to unleash mayhem on Abians during his eight-year inglorious reign, but said he was not surprised because it is synonymous with the Orji family to always bite the fingers that fed them like they did to former governor Orji Uzor Kalu, who single handedly installed the older Orji as governor in 2007.
Iheoma told the younger Orji that it was because of President Jonathan’s and his wife’s support for his father’s brutish style, lack of infrastructural development of the state most especially Umuahia where his father is from, and non-payment of salaries that made Abians to gang up against Jonathan who unlike in 2011 had more than a million votes from the state, but scored a paltry 300,000 votes in 2015.
Iheoma also asked the younger Orji to also state the reason why after eight years on the saddle as governor, his father did not just lose in his polling unit but was roundly rejected by his kindred in Ikwuano Umuahia.
