President Muhammadu Buhari and former Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole, ahead the June 2 National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), met behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Oshiomhole is contesting the national chairmanship of the ruling party.

Oshiomhole was accompanied to the meeting by Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State.

Oshiomhole and Okorocha did not address State House Correspondents, who had waited to know the outcome of the meeting.

The President had recently asked all APC governors to throw their weight behind Oshiomhole as party chairman.
