The former Acting National President of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) and CEO of Wealthy Honey Investments Limited, Dr Kayode Farinto Collins has congratulated the Executive Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma on his successful election for second tenure as the Eastern Heartland governor.

He urged the government-elect to focus and develop Oguta seaport to drive maritime activities and creation of employment in the state.

He noted that the re-election of the governor with a wide margin defeat over his opponents is a testimony of his administrative prowess and dogged leadership to bring dividends of democracy to his people despite the challenges face by his administration.

Farinto whose under their regime as the National Vice President of ANLCA during the former administration of Iju Tony Nwabunike appointed the Imo State Governor as Grand Patron of ANLCA, said the re-election of Senator Hope Uzodinma was an answer to their prayers.

“When I led the ANLCA team on a courtesy visit to Governor Hope Uzodinma in January 9, 2022 in Owerri, I remember telling him by the grace of God we will come back to celebrate his second term victory in office and I thank God that prayer has come to pass,” he said.

Meanwhile, Farinto advised the Governor to keep to his promised of partnering with professionals to build the Oguta Seaport project, which will not only bring maritime activities to the state, but will create employment for the youths and also generate revenue to the state.

According to him, collaboration with professionals will fast track the construction of the Seaport and other axillary terminals in the state.

Farinto said maritime stakeholders are ready to partner with the State Government in making sure the project came to fruition and boast the status of the state.

”I wish you a successful second term in office and look forward to partnering with your government in delivering dividends of democracy to the hard working and enterprising people of Imo State,” he said.

Senator Hope Uzodinma has on Saturday gubernatorial election conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Imo State defeated his closest rivals Senator Samuel Anyanwu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party candidate, Anthan Achonu. Uzodinma pulled a total of 540, 308 votes, while Anyanwu scored 71,503 votes and Anthan Achonu of Labour Party came a distant third with 64, 081 votes. INEC has however declared Hope Uzodinma the winner and returned elected.
