The wife of the Anambra State governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo, has assured that the 75-year-old man accused of abusing and defiling an 8-year-old girl in Awka will face the full weight of the law.

Responding to the arrest of the suspect, a barber who allegedly lured, abused, and molested the minor in his house, Mrs Soludo stated her commitment to follow up on the case and ensure justice prevails. She urged the public to remain calm and allow law enforcement agents to conduct a thorough investigation. Regular updates on the case will be provided to the public.

Mrs Soludo emphasized that Anambra State has zero tolerance for abuse of any kind. The current administration takes such issues seriously and ensures that offenders are severely punished.
