After 13 years of its establishment, the Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna Campus Radio (Search FM 92.3) has received a donation of a recording studio from an alumnus of the school, Mr. Benjamin Ojimah Ufaruna, the Chief Executive Officer of Buypowers NG as part of his contributions to the institution.

The donation of the state of the art recording studio is coming barely 13 years after the establishment of the Campus Radio FM station by the Federal University of Technology Minna.

The Multi Purpose Recording Studio which is fully equipped to handle recording of jingles, music, radio and television drama, recording of live performances, among bothers is to help the students pursue their dreams in the media and entertainment industry.

The Chairman of the Board of the campus radio broadcast station, Prof. Akim Osunde, while inaugurating the recording studio at the University permanent site on Monday, said the campus radio, established in 2010, is open to all talented persons regardless of their status.

Represented by Prof. Segun Oyero, the chairman maintained that the quality of audio sound and lyrics that comes out of the station is self-regulated, stating that the university management is hopeful that the new recording studio will enhance quality of projects, albums, as well as other works that would be produced

He thanked the Alumnus for his gesture towards the University, stressing the well equipped recording studio is the first of its kind in the state.

Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer of Buypowers.NG said the donation of the recording studio is his own little way of giving back to the institution that has made him what he is today, and therefore urged other Almunia to always remember their former school and contribute their quota to it development.
