Kingsley Okonkwo is a family life and relationship coach, counselor, and author. He is also the founder and lead pastor at David’s Christian Centre.

 

He was born on the 29th of January in Lagos state, Nigeria to the family of His Royal Highness (HRH) King Rowland and Rosannah Okonkwo of the Obowu Local government area in Imo state, Nigeria. He is best known as a relationship coach, infidelity recovery specialist, best-selling author, global speaker, minister, award-winning YouTube content creator and pastor.

 

In 1996, he founded David’s Christian Centre as a Youth Fellowship which later became a church in the early 2000s. The ministry has two campuses in Lagos, Nigeria and over 5,000 members.

 

Kingsley is the Founder and Lead Coach at Love, Dating and Marriage Ministry, which began as a monthly relationship seminar known as Love, Dating and Sex in 1999. The name was changed to Love, Dating & Marriage (LDM) in 2005 after he got married to his best friend, Mildred. LDM as it is popularly called, is an organization that focuses on helping families and individuals build healthy and successful relationships. Kingsley believes everyone can have the marriage of their dreams if they put in the necessary effort. His live sessions across his social media channels are viewed by hundreds of millions globally.

 

As one of Africa’s foremost Relationship coaches, the profundity of his thoughts on marriage and relationships has helped mentor millions of individuals who listen to him build better relationships. He speaks on several notable platforms across Africa, United Kingdom, Canada, United States of America amongst others. Kingsley is renowned for Love and Relationships, Marriage and Family Life, Domestic Violence, Divorce and Infidelity Recovery.

Over the years, he has had different seminars for men, women, married couples and professionals in the family life and relationship practice. Some of which are:

MANUAL: an annual conference for single and married women, it aims at helping women understand how men think. Over the years the event has hosted and provided emotional healing, support and insight to thousands of women who have attended its sessions teaching them how to thrive in a male dominated world.

MAN UP: an all-men mentoring meeting with Dr. Kingsley aimed at helping men discover their purpose, make a mental shift from positional to functional leadership.

 

TOGETHER FOREVER: an annual conference for married couples aimed at rekindling the passion and love in their marriages.

 

INTERNATIONAL FAMILY LIFE PRACTITIONERS CONFERENCE: a conference which aims at equipping family life practitioners, coaches, counselors and pastors with the skills and resources necessary to for ensuring they are able go help couples and families in whatever area they choose to.

Kingsley hones his relationship and marriage coaching portfolio through various international courses and memberships.

He is a presidential member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC); a Board-certified Master Christian Life Coach from the International Board of Christian Coaching (IBCC), a master coach in Infidelity recovery from the Couples Academy. He bagged a Diploma in Biblical counselling from the Light University, and an advanced diploma in Marriage and Family life coaching. He also holds a Diploma in relationship counselling from the KEW Academy amongst others.

As a thought leader in the family life and relationship field, and in order to push the message using various platforms, Okonkwo has produced and featured in a couple of movies. In 2020, as an executive producer he also made a cameo appearance in the short film Twelve Seasons by Soul TV Africa. A story targeted at helping newly-weds understand their marriage decisions to love one another for as long as they live. In that same year, he also made a special appearance in the Award winning Twelve Forty Five by the Winlos.

Over the years Kingsley Okonkwo has been awarded and celebrated for his immense contribution to nation building through his time-tested principles on Relationship and marriage.
