Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr took a closer look at late call-ups Uche Agbo, Chisom Egbuchulam and Godwin Obaje after starting them in yesterday’s test game against Plateau United.
Granada CF defender, Agbo was a late replacement for injured Leon Balogun and he will play alongside Kano Pillars star, Jamiu Alimi in the heart of the defence.
Rangers forward, Egbuchulam had been called for injured Victor Moses of Chelsea, while Godwin Obaje is a direct replacement for Watford striker, Isaac Success, who has also opted out due to injury.
Obaje was top scorer of the just concluded Nigeria league with 18 goals, while Egbuchulam was second leading goal getter with 16 goals.
Rohr will also have a chance to assess defensive midfielder Anderson Esiti, who was not part of the squad for last month’s AFCON qualifier against Tanzania.
