Yeye-Osun of Lagos Mainland, Mrs. Folusho Adeogun-Oga, on Tuesday, urged followers of the African Traditional Religion (ATR) to be honest in their ways of life for the society to emulate them.

Adeogun-Oga told NAN  in Lagos that some adherents’ dishonesty in relating to those that had approached them had reduced people’s trust and confidence in traditional practices.

This had forced them to embrace crimes, corruption and other social vices as their norm, the traditionalist said.

If all the practitioners were honest and above board in their attitudes, they would be able to shape the larger society for the better, she said

She said that gone were those days that people had strong conviction on the potency of the traditional practice.

“Sanctions were instantly meted out then against .culprits of any crimes without any cumbersome processes.
