The Adamawa State Government has sworn in 50 state development area administrators in Yola, the state capital.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who was represented by his Deputy, Kaletapwa Farauta at the event said their appointment was part of government’s deliberate determination to stimulate good governance and deliver dividend of democracy at the grass root level.

”In this team, there is no room for laxity but everyone is on a rat race to deliver on the governance collective vision where no one is left behind and nothing left untouched.
”As administrators, you constitute the government at the grassroots, you are at the vantage position to create the right image for our government policies which are not only pro poor but largely intended to change the lives of our rural dwellers for the better,” She said.

The Deputy Governor urged the administrators to be vanguards of change and to stimulate development in their respective communities and take governnace closer to the people.

”You must let the people feel the impact of governance by making your selves available and willing to listen to them and solving their problems at that level,” Farauta added.

She charged them to engage the people regarly and demolish all real or imagine misconception that exists between government and the governed.

”You have to work with your respective Local government Council Chairmen to ensure reconstruction on trust and confidence of government intentions,” The Deputy Governor reiterated.

Farauta said that the Governor Ahmadu Fintiri-led administration is determined to expand development in the rural areas and to also engage the Youths progressively for the development of the state from the grassroots upwards.

On their part, the appointed development areas administrators pledged to commit themselves to deliver on the mandate which they were trusted with.

About fifty development areas in Adamawa were created from the 21 local government areas in the state.
