Four men, Chidiebere Ijogalu, Samuel Don, Uchenna Nwoye and Sunday Sule ‎were on Thursday arraigned in a Gudu Upper Area Court for alleged car theft.

The defendants, who reside in Zuba, Abuja, were docked on charges of criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass and theft.

The prosecutor, Fidelix Ogbobe told the court that one Mr Abdulfata Olaniyi of Bwari, Abuja reported the matter at Bwari Police Station on May 16.

He said the defendants and one Chibuzo ‎Micheal now at large, conspired and trespassed into the plaintiff’s compound on the said date.

He said the defendants stole the plaintiff’s Toyota Camry car, one Samsung Plasma TV, three mobile phones and other valuables  whose value were yet to be quantified.

The prosecutor said during police investigations, the car was recovered ‎from the defendants.

Ogbobe said the offences contravened Sections 97, 348 and 287 of the Penal Code.

The defendants pleaded not guilty.

The judge, Alhaji Umar Kagarko granted the defendants N200, 000 bail each with one surety each in like sum and adjourned the case until Aug. 30 for hearing. (NAN)
