The state chairman of the Because of Our Tomorrow (BOOT) Party in Edo State and Edo North Senatorial candidate, Osiriame Edeipo has vowed to defeat the incumbent Senator Francis Alimikhena of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, the former governor of the state, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole in the forthcoming elections

He made the vow while addressing newsmen in Benin City.

According to him “We have our plans, know that the size of the dog is not what counts in a fight but the size of the fight in the dog.

” They may seem to have all the money but we have our templates and in the next 24 days or so, they will be surprised with what will hit them.

“The crisis that we are having in this country today, I saw it many years ago.

“Our people get to power but they don’t think. But for the Russian – Ukraine war, we were getting to a point where our oil was becoming useless because our people refuse to think of alternative sources of survival outside oil.

“We are trying to change the narratives; some people must change the narrative. Now that we are out, the BOOT party would act as men.

“If you check our blueprint, we have our plan on how to tackle power (electricity) and if power is tackled more than 50 per cent or our problem will fizzle out.”

Mr. Edeipo said that the two biggest parties in Nigeria, the PDP and the APC have failed the people since the country returned to democratic rule in 1999 and new parties like the BOOT is the alternative for Nigerians to consider.

Edeipo said the two parties have failed to proffer solutions to Nigeria’s lingering power challenge leading to the downward trend of the economy.
