Nababab said the association picked November 19 to mark vendor’s year sequel to the death of a member who was killed by an officer attached to House of Representatives Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila.

He said: “I want to remind us that today makes two years after the death of our member who was killed by one happy trigger officer attached to the Speaker Gbajabiamila. That incident was a very big shock to all vendors for a long time. With that reason, we, the vendors/ House of Representatives, fixed November 19 every year as Vendors’ Week.”

He appealed to media organisations to regulate upload on news social media to enable them sell copies. “We know that we face a lot of challenges from social media and other platforms that make customers to get the news before the news print gets to us.

“I want to appeal to them to look at our plea and regulate those platforms to enable us get the news print before the social media,” he said.
