Fans mob Osimhen, others for Super Eagles shirts

Nigeria’s Super Eagles bounced back from their shocking home loss in the 2023 AFCON qualifier, as they earned a sweet revenge beating the Djurtus of Guinea Bissau by a lone goal at the Estadio 24 de Setembro in Bissau.

Coach Jose Peseiro made five changes in the starting squad that lost the first leg meeting last Friday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

His game plan of starting Victor Osimhen and Terem Moffi almost paid off in the opening five minutes of the game, but Moffi couldn’t keep his effort down as it was cleared by the Wild Dogs defence line.

It was a hard-forth win for the Super Eagles, with Simon Moses scoring the goal that secured maximum 3points from the penalty spot at the half-hour mark after Bright Osayi was brought down in the box, leaving the referee to point to the spot.
