Over 75% causes of infertility, both in men and women are hormonally related. 20% is tubal related, while the remaining 5% is for other extras strenuous medical conditions or idiopathic! If you failed to get your hormones right, your efforts to achieve pregnancy might become a mirage!

The sex of a child is determined two weeks after conception. The two female chromosomes are XX, while the male chromosomes are, XY. If the man releases X chromosome into the wife, that means they are going to have a baby girl. But if the man releases Y chromosome, it means a baby boy is on his way! However, some babies won’t come as ‘XX’ or ‘XY’, but as ‘XO!’ An ‘XO’ baby is neither here nor there, though he or she might carry the appearance of a boy or a girl. Such always grows with all manner of medical challenges that inhibits procreation. As at that time of being a foetus, the female child already has millions of follicles deposited in her ovary. Between her birth and reaching menarche, most of the follicles would have died. At maturity, the girl child will have six hundred thousands follicles in her ovary, and she is expected to dispense these over four hundred and eighty months. That means an average woman is expected to menstruate for an average of forty years, before she enters menopause. By implications, a girl child passes through three stages of transformation in life. As a girl child, when she enters puberty till the time she will enter her last phase, which is menopause.

The male child passes only two phases in life; and that is pre-puberty and puberty. Once the male child is matured, he remains like that for life!

What influences the changes the girl child goes through is hormones. There are five basic female hormones that influences her physical features and fertility or otherwise. These hormones are as follows; Follicle stimulating hormones (FSH), Leuitenizing hormones (Lh), Prolactin, Progesterone and Estrogen. Others are T3 and T4. The effectiveness and efficiency of each of these hormones goes a long way to influence the fertility life of the individual. Late menarche (commencement of menstruation), undeveloped breast, stunt growth, hypoplastic uterus, etc, are all signs of primary hormonal challenges that requires urgent attention in other to forestall future challenges.

The prime of every woman is between the ages of sixteen (16) and twenty-six (26). If you are sexually active in those years and you were never pregnant, then you have to sit up on time to avoid future challenges that will bring complications. It is a pity though that most of the female folks doesn’t understand their body metabolism, either due to ignorance or lack of sex education that will help them in life! I see people running from pillar to post only when they want to settle down and the man insists on pregnancy before marriage or due to family pressure after marriage! You should understand the workings of  your body metabolism please.

The medical lab hormonal reference range differs from lab to lab, base on the type of kits in use. The specimen for the test is your blood. While the blood sample of a man can be taken anytime, it is better to collect that of the woman during her lutea phase. Your lutea phase as a woman is between twenty first and twenty third day, after your last menstrual period (LMP). Your FSH and Lh is domained at the left side of your brain. The reference range for both FSH and Lh is between 4gd/ml and 20gd/ml. If your results for the two is between 10-16gd/ml, (base on my reference range), then your results is perfect. 19-20 is high normal, while anything above 20 is bad. That is an indication of ovarian failure for the woman. The FSH is what stimulates the ovaries to produce follicles (eggs) on monthly basis. Your ovaries will not only produce follicles, but the follicles must attain a graafian level. For you to understand better, buy a layer chicken and open it up. You will find eggs inside it, and these eggs will be in different sizes. Then one of the eggs, would have really matured with shell on it. You immediately know that, the matured egg is the next to be laid by the chicken! That is the one referred to as Graafian. It is the Lh, that comes in and selects the graafian egg and deposit it in the fallopian tube for fertilization.

Also, the feelings you have during sexual touch with your partner will first occurred at the left side of your brain, either as a man or a woman. In men, sexual message will be sent from your brain to your testis, then your testis will communicate your penile to get ready for action! The penile at this junction will stand erect, ready to penetrate. If you fondle with your spouse penile at this point, you will notice  he is having some discharges. The more you fondle with his manhood and he enjoys it, the more he discharges! This is healthy please. At sexual arousal, over two million spermatozoa will be generated in the testes, with the influence of testosterone. Around 60% of these will die, and only about six hundred thousands will be ejaculated into the woman. Same goes for a woman during romance. Your feelings occur at the left side of the brain, then it sends message to your ovaries and your ovaries will communicate your vagina to get ready for action. Blood will ooze to the vagina at this point, and the vagina will swell in size! This might not be noticeable to ordinary eye though. The next thing is that the woman is suppose to get wet and dilated. The more she enjoys the foreplay, the more she gets wet. If you are touched and has no feelings, that is frigidity. If you have feelings and doesn’t get wet, then it is a hormonal challenge. Your wetness changes base on your circle. It is alkaline and draws during your ovulation period, but it breaks like palp and acidic at other times. This wetness does not only make penetration to be easy during coitus, but it also facilitates conception during your ovulation period

TRACK YOUR OVULATION!!!

Either a woman is ovulating or not is predicated on the effectiveness and efficiency of the hormones. Your ovulation is not independent of the general wellbeing of your hormones. So before you can start worrying yourself about your ovulation, you must first be sure your hormones are in order. The ovulation period of a woman is that season in a month that her body is receptive to fertilization. This is the period she can get pregnant. This period is very critical to every woman that is looking forward to the fruit of the womb. You have to know also that, ovulation is a combination of several activities, which is in direct response to your hormones during this period. Just a sign is not enough to conclude that you are ovulating!

The ovulation period of a woman is predicated on the activities that occur during her follicular phase, which is statistically between the 13th and the 17th day after the last menstrual period, (LMP). What you do is to count one to thirteen from the date of your menses. For example, if you saw your menstruation on the first of the month, then your follicular period will be between the 13th -17th day of the month, etc. The ovulation is a process that occurs during follicular phase and  climaxed with the release of a graffian follicle into the fallopian tube for fertilization. Once you have the follicle in your fallopian tube, ovulation has occurred! Any coitus act during this period is liable to pregnancy if all other parameters are in order.

There are five basic things you can notice without going to the lab, at home.

1. Your body temp will go up during this period. This is called basal body temp (BBT)

2. The nipples of your breast will stand erect.

3. You feel more disposed to have sex during this period than other times. It is your ‘heat’ period as a woman.

4. You have a slurry discharges from your vagina.

5. You are likely to feel slight pains at the pelvic region.

These are physical signs that you can monitor yourself at home.

However, there are more to ovulation than the physical signs.

During this period, you must have follicles (eggs) in your ovary. There are two ovaries to every woman, and these ovaries works alternately every month. That means, if you produce eggs from your right ovary this month, it will shift to the left ovary the next month. You can’t monitor your follicles by yourself, No! You need the assistance of a sonographer, who will help track the follicles with the help of sonographic machine. That you have eggs is one thing, but your egg must also reach a graffian (matured) size. Your graffian follicle must also ruptured, (I.e. move from the ovaries to the fallopian tube) before it can be fertilized. Egg is fertilized in the fallopian tube and not in the ovary.

The Lh of the woman must also goes up during this period. And this can only be monitored either through your blood or the urine. The sample is collected on daily basis, at a particular period. The results is between negative and positive. If the results for the days are negative, that means the patient concerned has no Lh. If the results is ‘faintly positive’, that means the patient has a weak Lh. The best result is ‘strongly positive’.

The combined outcome of these investigations is what your doctor will use in advising you to have sex with your partner. Please note that, It is a wrong approach for you to have sex everyday with a man during your ovulation period. You have basically reduces the chances of your man impregnating you, if you do so. If a man has sexual intercourse now, it takes between 36-48 hours for him to produce another spermatozoa that can fertilize eggs.

Please note that some women has varied ovulation process. I had a patient, who got married as a virgin for 5years without conception before she registered in my clinic. This lady’s ovulation occurs when she was supposed to be in her lutea phase! That was how we were able to track her ovulation in the third month of her registration in our clinic and got pregnant for the first

time in her life! Her subsequent conception were without stress! That was in year 2004. Today, she has had enough kids of her desire and retired from child bearing. Same way we had a 52 years old patient, who was always ripe for fertilization between the 9th and 11th day of her LMP! She nearly ran mad when she was confirmed pregnant, the rest is now history. These variations are always there, so stop using other peoples’ statistics to juxtapose your own conditions. If you buy my VCD titled ‘PREGNANCY MADE EASY’, you will get a better understanding of this discourse. It costs only two thousand naira (N2,000), if you are in Nigeria. It is seven dollars ($7), if you are buying from any part of the world. Better still, you can visit my clinic at Ikeja, Lagos. I also consults once in a month in Abuja, P/H and Enugu. It is an opportunity to meet with me one on one, but you have to preregister please.

When any of my patients’ failed to produces eggs in their follicles, I stimulate them with either or both of my herbal remedies called ‘LA Mere’ and ‘Donut’ respectively. LA mere is taken from day one of your menses, and the evidence of its efficacy will be confirmed by your sonographer two weeks after! If your Lh is not there during ovulation tests, then you need another of Sayemi’s way herbal remedies called ‘Restore’. Lack of slurry discharges can easily be corrected with egg white at the point of coitus. Or you get my aromatherapy oil, called ‘cherry’. It helps to build your Lh at the instant and make your passage alkaline during coitus, thereby making conception easier. It is also indicated for frigid women (lack of sexual feelings); women who are dry during coitus or experiences pain. It is the height of natures’ wonder not only in infertility but making your coitus life a real experience it was meant to be!

Infertility is not a malaria or other minor medical conditions. You need the right attention to get result instead of going round in a circle, looking for ‘over the counter’ solution, only to end up in frustration!
